D-Texas progressive MP Jasmine Crockett laughed at the disabled wheelchair-bound Republican governor and called him “Governor Hot Wheels” at Pro-LGBTQ benefits dinner this weekend.
Crockett has already put it in warm water over other controversial recent comments calling for “defeat” Elon Musk, as well as recent comments such as R-Texas Sen. Ted Cruz called him “a knock on his head like a hard one.”
Benefiting for his human rights campaign in Los Angeles, Crockett laughed at Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
“We’re these hot a-Texas Street, honey. I know we got the governor’s hot wheels out there, she said with a laugh.

In response, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) denounced Crockett, saying she was indicative of the Democratic situation today.
“House Dems’ Top Spox Jasmine Crockett applauded Texas Governor Abbott after attacking him for using a wheelchair,” the NRCC posted on X. “Recent votes show Crazy Crockett as one of the Democratic leaders.
Meanwhile, Sen. Markwayne Mullin of R-Okla said, “FYI on the new Democrat spokeswoman – Greg Abbott was paralyzed after a giant oak tree fell on him and crushed his spine.
Conservative women sports activist Riley Gaines also said, “Continue giving Democrat Jasmine Crockett the microphone. We’ll never lose the election again.”

Crockett’s rhetoric has won not only online rage in the past few days, but also serious condemnation from other leaders.
On Sunday, Attorney General Pam Bondy issued a harsh warning to Crockett, telling him to either “step carefully” or face the potential legal consequences.
Apparently noted that Bondi’s warning was not being taken into consideration, an interview clip surfaced Monday on Crockett, advocating for figurative “punching” Cruz, another leading Texan Republican.
In response to questions about how Democrats can win elections, Crockett said, “I think you’re a punch, I think you’re a punch, I think you’re a punch, I think you’re okay with a punch.”
“It’s Ted Cruz,” she continued. “I mean, like this guy, you need to be knocked over your head.

Her latest comments on this surface for Abbott have been firmly condemned by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. He pointed out that if Republicans said such things, her views sparked public outrage.
“Crockett’s comments are dishonorable,” Cornyn said. “Can you imagine a Republican saying something like this? [the] NYT front page [New York Times] And the whole CNN. ”
Conservative influencer Charlie Kirk also opposed Crockett’s comments, saying, “Jasmine Crockett continues to embarrass himself, Texas and the US Congress by calling Governor Greg Abbott “Hot Wheel Governor.” ”
“Governor Abbott was paralyzed at the age of 26 when an oak tree fell and crushed her spine while jogging. This woman is trash,” Kirk said.

Inaugurated in 2015, Abbott is a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and has made border guards one of his top priorities as governor. He launched Operation Lonestar in 2021, where he deployed state officials and the Texas State Guard to the border. His efforts to build fortress along the border led to some possible conflicts with the Biden administration, including a conflict between the federal government and state officials at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas in 2024.
