Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) opposed “anarchy and true confusion” in Los Angeles, and declared that Democrats would confiscate “moral highlands” if they didn’t condemn violence.
“I am negatively representing freedom of speech, peaceful demonstrations, and immigration, but this is not. It is disorder and true confusion. My party loses moral highlands if you refuse to assault law enforcement,” Fetterman declared in X’s post.

President Donald Trump deployed National Guard troops in response to LA’s concerns.
“We made a big decision by sending the National Guard to deal with the violent and instigated riots in California. If we didn’t, Los Angeles would have completely disappeared,” the president argued on the Truth Social Post on Monday.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegses said in a tweet Monday evening that U.S. Marines are deployed in the city “to restore order.”
