Former President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential election on a Sunday afternoon social media post a year ago. It left the Democrats in panic as they jumped on a new presidential candidate after a devastating blow by Maga voters at the ballot box in November of that year.
A year after Biden’s X-Post sent shockwaves across the political spectrum, Democrats are still upset from a failed campaign cycle, falling into a “cold war,” according to former House Attorney General Julian Epstein.
“The Democrats have entered a new phase of the Cold War, whether it will make it happen or not,” Epstein told Fox News Digital. “On the one hand, we have an increasingly radical socialist movement. From the stage with mainstream voters, we are reliant on the Pander politics of the welfare state and become addicted to the sect’s neo-racist ideological ideology. This worldview.”
He said the other side of the party is “more moderate wings” that “shines in a new trend known as ‘affluence’.”

“The move will be led by the so-called “smart” in the center,” he continued. “Abundance isn’t a smart pivot. The problem is that it’s too small, too technocratic, meaningful resets are inside baseball. And it seems like other wings, especially the progressive left flying monkeys online are being threatened too easily.
The current state of Democrats was thrown into the tailspin when Biden officially announced he would not run for reelection on Summer’s death, following the unprecedented 2024 election cycle.

In the wake of the election, Democrats played a game of denunciation for defeat, pointing to Harris’ campaign, claiming that Biden’s campaign had hired them in just 107 days. Others pointed to Harris’ running mate, Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz, a weak choice to stimulate voters.
Others have solidified their responsibility for the obvious behind-the-scenes push from well-known Democrats to encourage Biden from race.

A handful of former President Barack Obama’s allies and former advisors led the charges in calling on Biden to drop out of the 2024 race early in the summer, including David Axelrod, who Biden said he “hasn’t won this race.” George Clooney called on the president to quit with bomb manipulation. John Favreau was former director of Obama’s speechwriting.
“There’s no reason we lost, but the big reason is that adviser Obama publicly encouraged Democrats to push Joe Biden out, and didn’t even want Kamala Harris to sign up as a candidate as a savior.
Other critics pointed out that it took Obama three days before supporting Harris after allegedly encouraging Biden to drop out.

Following an immediate backlash over Harris’ election loss, Democrats are working to leave the working-class vote for the GOP, with well-known senators such as John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Bernie Sanders of Vermont claiming Democrats have turned their backs on the Blue Collar vote.
“It’s not a big surprise that Democrats who abandoned the working class realize that the working class has abandoned them. Democratic leaders defend the status quo, but Americans are angry and hoping for change,” Sanders posted on X after the election. “And they’re right.”
Fetterman, who was repeatedly identified as the Democratic “voice of reason,” following the race in 2024, claimed in February that the party became “toxic” after years of “shame and scolding.”

“Their main currency scolds shameful, speaks to people, and says, “Hey, do you know better than you, you’re dope, you’re a companion, or are you ignorant, how can you become this fool?” I can’t imagine it. Fetterman said on his podcast in February.
“And you know, when you’re in a state like Pennsylvania, I know, and I love those who voted for Trump, they’re not fascists. They don’t support rebellions or those things. And if you go to extremes, if you’re going to be a proposition like a boutique, you lose the argument.”
The party’s identity crisis has been highlighted in recent years on claims that it has gone too far to the left, particularly social issues such as transgender issues, and even the New York Times editorial board has disciplined the party in its March commercial edition.
“An old video clip of Harris, which the party rejoiced last year to move social issues left and right after Barack Obama resigned in 2017, sought to highlight the issue by denouncement of borders and government-funded gender transition surgeries for prisoners, the editorial committee wrote at the time.
Meanwhile, Obama told the party to “strengthen” and “stop looking for a quick fix” after the election.

Obama said in a fundraiser early in July, according to an excerpt obtained by CNN. “Don’t say you’re a Democrat, but you’re a bit disappointed right now, so you’re not doing anything. No, it’s time for you to get there and do something.”
The middle term next year will be approaching largely on both political parties. The Democrats are caught up in the controversy in New York City’s mayoral race, where socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani locks up a Democratic primary in June, and has since been subjected to intense scrutiny on his left and right platforms.
Biden says that he has denies leaving the 2024 race to stop Trump, and that never made a difference.

Epstein continued that the Democrats’ current “Cold War” is also rooted in “addictions” to “anger.”
“Driving all this is a dangerous culture of anger and negativity that has become the public face of the party. It seems that louder and louder voices are trapped in permanent primitive cries, sometimes looking like strange street dance theatres and university protesters,” he said.
“This happens when governance doesn’t become a party’s North Star, but when social media impacts occur,” Epstein continued. “Argument has become the standard on the left, addicted, shivvereth. It’s a drug within a progressive monoculture, but otherwise it’s toxic. It’s focused on voters rather than online influencers until the party can say “no” to activist groups, and it’s dependent on 1990 that it’s falling in 1990.
President Donald Trump notched for six months under the second term on July 20, 2025.
Trump celebrated his own Sunday milestone as he celebrated his one year anniversary since Biden dropped out of the reelection race.
“Wow, Time flies! Today is my second term six months anniversary. Importantly, it is welcomed as one of the most consequential periods of the president,” Trump wrote on social media Sunday. “In other words, we have accomplished many good and wonderful things, such as ending the wars of many countries that are not associated with us other than trade and, in certain cases, friendship,” he added of the true society. “Six months hasn’t been a long time since we’ve fully revived a major country.”
