Democrats struggling with oxygen blame the media – some think AOC is the answer

Harris returned to politics and in 2028 Dems Eye AOC

Dana Perino, co-anchor of “American Newsroom,” has joined Fox & Friends Weekend, increasing speculation that Kamala Harris has insisted on a major DNC fundraiser and could lead the Democrats in 2028.

Jim Clyburn rips the media.

Democrats who essentially handed Joe Biden the nomination in 2020 say the party is struggling to send a message.

“I think the message from the Democrats is a good message,” a South Carolina lawmaker told MSNBC’s Ali Versi. “The problem we have is we have to rely on the media to provide it.”

Let’s stop right away. The party’s approval rate is in the toilets – it’s not the media’s fault. The party lost all swing state to Donald Trump in November – it’s not the media’s fault.

And the Democrats don’t have a clear leader at this point. Again, it’s not the media’s fault.

Schumer sinks, as liberal voters demand Trump’s more difficult line, AOC soars in new polls

“If there’s the Washington Post, for example, there are other media entities who seem to be insightful to this aspiring dictator, pushing the stories that look to newspapers and their televisions, and not giving fair hearings or reporting on what we’re doing.”

“My message is so consistent, I hope that people outside the audience are taking what we are saying, and that’s very surprising.

Sorry to break that to a respected lawmaker, but carrying water against a man he calls “aspiring dictators” is not the job of the media. You and your colleagues can only do it by going out there and making news.

At the same time, everyone already hates us. So it’s not surprising that the right, not just the left, is smacking our business.

So, Joe Biden barely spoke to journalists even in Super Bowl interviews, and now we know why.

Bill Maher says that AOC should not be a Democratic candidate in 2028 despite recent hype

Gavin Newsom is clearly running for the President in 2028. He makes the news by appearing on Fox and the right-wing podcasts. This shows he is willing to be involved on the other side.

“I don’t know what the party is. I’m still struggling with it,” Newsom told the Hill.

He also forced California to sues the White House over tariffs.

The current topic is about the AOC running for president. This doesn’t mean that she was once a bartender, but because she gave her street credibility, and not because of her super-free record, but on her face it seems exaggerated.

But she and Bernie Sanders feel like a generational handoff, attracting a massive crowd across the country. Here is an image taken on the Washington Post front page on Sunday.

After making his first splash as a rebel, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now working with party leadership.

Ocasio-Cortez makes a call when Paul Starnate Silver is the most likely Democratic presidential candidate in 2028

The conservative columnist from Hill has named her number one in the upcoming election, stating AOC as “the most exciting person in democratic politics… yes, she has a huge number of detractors.

But even columnist Niall Ferguson asks, “Is the Latina on the left of New York City really the best option for the party they need to get the White House back to win states like Michigan and Pennsylvania?”

Axios said the 35-year-old Ocasio-Cortez “has been cheered like a political rock star for the past two weeks,” and knows how to create a cash register ring. “In the first three months of 2025, she raised $9.6 million.

The current topic is all about whether Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Dn.Y.) is standing for the president. She seems to have momentum to back it up. (AP photo/Ross D. Franklin)

She will undoubtedly oppose centre-left liberals like Josh Shapiro, who emphasize the importance of acquiring a swing nation like Pennsylvania.

Now it’s a bit crazy to talk about just three months after Trump’s second season. By then, “hot” people could easily cool off. Name recognition is yours so far.

In a recent Gallup poll, only 25% expressed confidence in democratic parliamentary leadership.

Republicans don’t expect fair coverage from the media. However, many DEMs get personal anger when they portray serious reports.

Takeout: Democrats must not only beat the media, but also create their own news. But hey, we’re the easiest target there.

Howard Kurtz is the host of Fox News Channel’s MediaBuzz (11am to 12pm Sunday). The Washington, D.C.-based member joined the network in 2013, regularly appearing in special reports with Bret Baier and stories with Martha MacCallum among other programs.
