Anti-ice protesters clashed with police on their second consecutive night outside a detention center in downtown Los Angeles.
Protesters gathered in front of the federal metropolitan detention center on Alameda Avenue on Thursday evening following recent unconfirmed reports of immigration enforcement measures in the Los Angeles area.
The Los Angeles Police Department formed a skirmish line in the North Alameda Street area between East Temple Street and East Riso Street around 11:30pm, kicking around 50 protesters out of the area.
Shortly after the crowds dispersed, an ambulance was called to the scene.
The demonstrator said the injured person was there to protest and hit his head when officers took him to the ground. Patients were taken from the site in unknown conditions.
Police have not announced the person’s identity or have not confirmed how the injury occurred.

When a similar scene occurred Wednesday night, National Guard members lined up in tactical gear during the demonstration.
At one point, a traffic advisory was issued, but there were no reports of cases where tear gas or flash bangs were deployed or the declaration of illegal parliament in the case.
