Disneyland’s Club 33 has long been advertised as the theme park’s most exclusive and mysterious club, but it has changed as “the happiest place on earth” opens its member list.
The appeal of Club 33 is that its members and staff don’t talk about a society that is less secret than its openly hidden in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square.
Club 33 will remain downrow with modest rules and even dress codes. However, Disneyland is sharing access to the Club 33 locations within Disneyland Resort for the first time by breaking these rules and promoting the club’s presence online and on the Disneyland app.
But don’t hold your breath. The waiting list to participate is reportedly several years.
The demand for membership is so much wanted, an Arizona couple sued but lost their bid, but they regained entry into the club after the theme park revoked their couple’s membership as the theme park allegedly got drunk at the park.
The club was founded by Walt Disney itself and offers members a variety of curated experiences, including access to the exclusive dining locations at Disneyland Resort, according to the theme park’s website.
Next to the Blue Bayou Restaurant, the club is named after 33 Royal Cent addresses in New Orleans Square, Disneyland. The “33” sign on the locked green door shows the entrance to the mystical club.
Inspired by Walt Disney, a VIP lounge experience at the 1964 New York World Fair, “It’s a Little World” and “A Great Moment with Mr. Lincoln” debuted.
The private club opened its doors in 1967. Celebrities belonging to the club include Tom Hanks, Christina Aguilera and Elton John.
Club 33 was the only restaurant and bar in the theme park serving alcohol until Oga’s Cantina opened in Star Wars: Edge of Galaxy in 2019.
However, being a Club 33 member is a high price. The starting fee is up to $50,000, and annual membership fees of $15,000 or more, depending on your membership level.
How can I join Club 33?
You must express your interest in Club 33 membership by filling out the online form.
You will be asked to provide your name, address, phone number and email address.
Submitting a form does not mean you are automatically a member.
“Club 33 may contact you if the opportunity presents itself,” the website said.
The way Club 33 leadership decides how membership is offered is to reach their “sole discretion.”
Once the opportunity becomes available, it can only be heard from the club.
