First on FOX – On Friday, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) launched a new campaign denounced President Donald Trump of “killing American dreams” through megaville backed by price hikes, market volatility and Congress-passed GOP.
Party officials plan to lean heavily towards the message in the coming months as they work to broaden their appeal and regain momentum ahead of the mid-term of 2026.
DNC’s messaging campaign is only previewing Fox News Digital, and is attempting to directly link Trump to recent price increases in consumer goods such as groceries and baby food.
“America should be a land of opportunity, but under Donald Trump, America’s dreams are dying,” they said in an email previewed by Fox News on Friday.
The campaign will feature new notes and ads under the wider mantle of the Trump Killing the American Dream campaign, which is scheduled to run through December.

The initiative has been part of a broad tumultuous turbulence in the DNC’s message following the 2024 election, with longtime Democrat voting blocs, including minority voters and young people, shifting to Trump and Republicans.
This includes Hispanic voters whose support for former vice presidents Kamala Harris and Trump was almost broken in 2024, and larger stakes in registered independent and younger voters, according to exit poll data.
The new messaging strategy, released Friday, focuses heavily on what Democrats are claiming, is the sunlight between Trump’s campaign trail promises, contrasting with his pledge to bring America back to the “golden age” and the situation for many working-class Americans.

It highlights the expected cuts in Medicaid, food assistance programs, and other community-based housing affordability programs that are thought to be reduced if not completely eliminated by the Republican spending bill.
“After thrustling Trump in [budget bill] Throughout Congress, Republicans own this mess, and that’s the albatross around the neck heading into the midterm,” DNC Chairman Ken Martin told Fox News Digital.
“This is the least common law in modern history, and the more voters learn about it, the more they dislike it. It’s a clear Democrat directive. Every voter will see who is responsible for taking away their healthcare, food, hospitals and nursing homes.”
That message is expected to be a central democratic theme until 2026. Party officials say they are now in a better position to make their claims to voters – and Americans want to listen to them in return.

The launch comes shortly after the party’s “organising summer” campaign, which aims to boost democratic operations in the battlefield states. The DNC has increased state-level funding, voter registration and volunteer recruitment. To date, we have gathered over 15,000 volunteers.
Officials say they will continue to crush the message strongly through 2026, including 35 seats through 2026.
Friday’s launch is not the first time the DNC has tried to link Trump to economic pain, but past efforts have been limited success. It remains unclear whether this latest push will resonate with the independents and Republicans who brought the wiping victory for Trump and the GOP in 2024, especially as the economy shows signs of resilience. Just Thursday, the Labor Bureau reported that it had added 147,000 jobs in June — blowing past expectations — unemployment rates fell to 4.1%.

However, DNC officials argue that the economic situation has changed as a result of tariff threats, volatility and unpopular laws that are seen as new opportunities to plunge into voters that are less acceptable in previous elections.
They point to an analysis from the Congressional Budget Office that estimates that a Trump-backed spending bill would increase the federal deficit by about $2.4 trillion over a decade, affecting the knockdown on working-class Americans who can see cuts in insurance costs, home prices, Medicaid, snaps and education programs. They also cite predictions that by 2029 the bill could eliminate 1.2 million jobs.
“Let’s be clear. The Trump administration is aiming to be what makes America the greatest country in the world,” said a party official.
“Americans overwhelmingly reject his agenda and depend on the regret of buyers. Democrats stand with Americans, organising everywhere, fighting back on the ground in Congress, courts and states around the country.”
