Dodger Stadium Express is expected to operate normally this weekend, even if the bus departs and arrives in areas subject to curfew restrictions.
The service, which provides fans with a free ride between Union Station and Dodger Stadium, will “run as usual,” Communications Missy Colman’s senior metro director said Thursday.
On Tuesday, Mayor Karen Bass imposed a curfew from 8pm to 6am on downtown areas most affected by protests against federal immigration enforcement and sometimes violence, looting and vandalism that accompany them. She said she hopes the curfew will last for several days.
Dodger Stadium is outside the curfew zone, while Union Station is within it. The Dodgers’ games against rival San Francisco Giants are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:10pm and Sunday at 4:10pm.
On Tuesday, the Metro said “regular bus and rail services” would continue in the downtown area. Colman said Metro will provide updates to fans on @metrolaalerts via Alerts.metro.net or X.
The Dodgers did not respond to a message this weekend asking if the team would make changes that could affect how fans arrive and depart for the game.
