A Dodgers fan was rushed to the hospital Friday after witnesses said he fell from a building during a World Series championship celebration in downtown Los Angeles.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told KTLA 5 News the incident happened near the intersection of 8th Street and Flower Street around 1:30 p.m.
Police said, “Preliminary reports indicate that the patient fell from the third floor of the building.”

Witnesses said the man appeared to be breathing and moving slightly, and a significant amount of blood could be seen on the sidewalk.
The extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Elsewhere in downtown Los Angeles, one person was arrested for allegedly throwing a bottle at police after most of the parade crowd had left in the early afternoon. Police formed a line of defense to disperse the unruly crowd.
The Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in five games to win the franchise’s eighth World Series. A rally in downtown Los Angeles was followed by a sold-out victory rally at Dodger Stadium.
