Initially reserved for the first 40,000 fans, the Dodgers announced that all fans participating in Wednesday’s game will receive the shoe hei ohtani MVP bobblehead. The Dodgers lined up for hours in the Chavez Valley on Wednesday morning to ensure they got one of the exclusive shoe hei ohtani MVP Bobbleheads, the first Dodger Stadium gift of the 2025 season.
Initially booked for the first 40,000 fans in Wednesday afternoon’s game, The Dodgers said at X that all fans present will receive Ohtani MVP Bobblehead.
Fans, wearing Otani’s current iconic No. 17 jersey, were encouraged to arrive early before the first pitch began at 5:38 pm, two hours later.
“I’m here to celebrate Otani’s Bobblehead as a Dodger,” Jose Ramirez said side by side.
“I want three,” Dennis Xuan said. “Otani is very strong so she’s my idol.”
“I’ll line up for five hours and get a bobblehead from the hei ohtani shoes,” Francisco Velazquez said. “He’s a baseball unicorn.”
If you missed this, don’t worry. The Dodgers will continue to hand out bobbleheads throughout the season, including next week’s Freddie Freeman model on Friday, April 11th.
Otani will reappear four times in Bobblehead Form this season. On May 15th and August 27th, you will be given a bobblehead celebrating Otani’s 50/50 achievements – 50 home runs and 50 stolen basses in the season. Another Otani Bobble Head prize is scheduled for September 10th.
Additionally, “On behalf of Shohei ohtani, the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) is dedicated its 50/50 raffle proceeds overnight to families rebuilding after the Eaton and Palisade fires,” the team wrote in a press release.
Wednesday night’s game will be the third and final match of the 3 Game Home Series against the Atlanta Braves. The Dodgers are currently 7-0, and are initially after cleaning both Cubs, Tigers and potentially Braves at NL West.
