Protesters of Elon Musk’s government efficiency gathered outside the Department of Education on Tuesday to harbor a moment of gratitude and applause to the federal agency.

Protesters, many of them, had signs of former Education Office officials saying, “This is what makes them look like democracy,” and saying, “Boycott Tesla!”, “Eron won’t take away children,” and “No Doge No Kings.”

After the protest, Charles Gasparino, senior correspondent for the FOX business, posted an email from an education department official to X saying the agency’s office must be vacated by 6pm on Tuesday, saying the office would remain closed on Wednesday.

He also reported that “employees have received multiple emails and are warning that they have significantly reduced their workforce and opportunities to capitalize on buying and leaving.”

Larry Speaker opposed the Trump administration’s planned cuts and instead sought more funds. At one point, organizers confronted attendees the department building and applauded for federal workers inside.

President Donald Trump is expected to issue an executive order directing “to take all necessary steps to promote the closure of the education sector” so that “we will take all necessary steps to promote the closure of the education sector” as “we will take all necessary steps to take all necessary steps to promote the closure of the education sector.”

The draft order states that “experiments to dominate American education through federal programs and dollars, and bureaucrats who cannot explain support for those programs and dollars have failed.”

Trump has been talking for a long time about dismantling the Department of Education, saying that he failed American students.

“It’s a big fraudulent job,” the president said in November. “They are ranked among the top countries in the world. We are ranked 40th, but we rank first in one category, per student costs. So we are ranked 40th, although we have more per student costs than any other country in the world.”

However, protesters standing outside the headquarters of the Department of Education in Washington, D.C., argued that dismantling the agency would “contribute to injuries to children and families.”

“This cut in funding is the opposite of what we should do. We should provide more federal funding for these services for these children,” one protester, a former education employee, told Fox News Digital.

She said Doge Cuts is to allow students to “suffer” and impact after-school programs, such as special programs for immigrant children and English courses.

“We’re going back to the early 1900s, the 1800s, when special Ed children are unable to receive services when English learners can’t learn English. This is rage,” she said.

Another former federal employee at Larry told Fox News Digital “It’s heartbreaking to see all these employees being fired right now,” and “We really have to talk about what’s been done to the federal government.”

Rebeccapringle, president of the National Education Association, one of the rally speakers, noted that it alone does not have the authority to shut down the education sector. To completely eliminate the division, it will require 60 votes in the Senate and require cooperation from Democrats.

Pringle told Fox News Digital that her group organized a series of national walk-in protests on March 19 to “hold council members accountable.”

“Educators across the country are standing up, they say, no. We won’t wait while this administration focuses on giving tax cuts to billionaires who already have more,” Pringle said.

Speaking directly to Trump and Musk, Katie Gates, a voter activist for tomorrow’s political action group, said Fox News said, “Don’t stop it, just don’t do it.”

“You might think you’re making government more efficient or getting rid of deep conditions, etc. But like I said, this has a far-reaching impact on children, parents, communities, schools,” she said. “Efficiency may not be the best value. Sometimes it is support. Sometimes you learn.”

Fox News digital reporter Louis Casiano contributed to this report.
