Time for Gavin Newsom to begin measuring these White House drapes.

As you know, the President of the United States. We think of things that are earth-friendly, like recycled hemp.
Wait, what?
Have you caught a recent nationally aired speech by the governor? It’s about “democracy at intersections.”
I did it.
It was a great speech, and the governor gave some important points about the reckless command of President Trump of the California State Guard, the indiscriminate immigrant raids of his administration, and the completely unnecessary deployment of Marines to Los Angeles. (From the hall of Montezuma to the coast of Venice Beach.)
Newsom was well justified with his rage and light emptying. Behaving faithful to his flaming fashion, Trump has transformed yet another attack on our heavily tested constitution, a central set of protests that local law enforcement couldn’t handle.
Newsom’s speech certainly “met in the moment” to use one of his favorite phrases.
I’ll give it to you. Unlike many extracurricular activities aimed at boosting his presidential outlook, Newsom was tackling a Trump crisis that unfolds here at his home. It was the moment when I sought the leadership of the governor.
Just need a disappointing Democrat of leadership.
That’s why I was told.
It’s not a big leap to see Newsom leading anti-Trump opposition.
In fact, it’s a bigger leap than it takes to clear the Grand Canyon.
Certainly, Newsom’s speech received many rave reviews from Democrats across the country. Many are desperate to someone in power to give a voice to Trump and his bloody explosive rage over so many excesses. Newsom did a good job of guiding those feelings and clarifying the dangers of the rude president Ran Amok.
But don’t go overboard.
There is no shortage of Democrats keen on taking on Trump and becoming the face of what is called resistance. There is no shortage of Democrats looking at the White House’s 2028 bid. The runner won’t wash away all the political baggage Newsom has to tote.
Like?
Homeless people ramp out. An explosive fiscal deficit. A huge amount of income inequality.
Moreover, many social policies that many Californians consider to be benevolent and broadly hearted, to put it mildly, others across the country think that is not so much. Please don’t get me wrong. I love California with all my heart and soul. But we have a lot of deep issues and cultural idiosyncraticism that Newsom’s rivals, Democrats and Republicans, are too happy to hang around his neck.
So, don’t get too caught up in that moment. The basis for the 2028 presidential election has not changed based on a single, well-received, but speech. It’s still hard to see Democrats handing over the fate of the party to yet another candidate born in the liberal stew of San Francisco politics, seeing California-California campaigns as their home address.
Something strange happened.

That said, 2028 is a year of countless political lights and has countless news cycles. The midterm elections will first be held in November 2026, giving voters the opportunity to oppress Trump and his actions. The verdict will go a long way in shaping the dynamic in 2028.
Newsom, at least, brought his A-game to social media. His trolling of cards is eye-opening!

I think it’s best to leave Snark to the experts.
But I have sympathy for the governor. It’s not easy to deal with a mean and immoral person, like the country’s ax-grinder-in-chief.
For example, consider the disaster relief funds that Southern California has relied on when the fire broke out. Supporting the community in an era of hopeless needs should not be remotely political or part of a feud of red and blue states. Historically, there has never been such federal aid.
But this is the cards we deal with.
To his credit, Newsom tried to be great in the days and weeks after Firestorm in January. He ignored the president’s provocation and held what later described a friendly session with Trump in his oval office. Their working relationship seemed good.
But there’s very little to go on in the Trumps of the transaction, except for his pettiness and self-absorption. Last week, when asked whether his “recent dust” and “recent dust” would affect granting wildfire relief, Trump said, “Yeah, maybe.”
He called out Newsom Infoltent, kicked out more Gobbledygooks about raking the forest, and made him to himself the nature of his personal relationship. “When you don’t like someone, don’t respect someone. If you’re on top, it’s hard for them to get money,” Trump said.
Yeesh.
In response with a post to X, Newsom said correctly.
It’s difficult to discuss that.

The country’s second most populous city is occupied by the National Guard and Marines. Thousands of people who have been avoided by disasters and whose past lives have froze, always care to put their feelings first and for greater profits.
Midterm elections will not come anytime soon.
