Police are looking for two men who used an SUV to steal ATMs in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday.
The theft, photographed with security cameras, occurred outside a Marigold Dress on Olympic Boulevard and Santee Street.
The store owner said frightened customers were watching as the incident unfolded. “We had customers,” Zoila Barrales said. “There was a family with a little girl here.”
Surveillance video showed the burglar retreating the vehicle to the sidewalk next to the dress shop entrance.
“A white SUV run by a masked individual and subsequent masked passengers stole an ATM machine in the broad daylight about an hour ago,” the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division posted on X at 4:14pm
On June 19, 2025, an ATM burglar will be seen leaving an SUV in downtown Los Angeles.
Police have not provided an account of the suspect and no injuries have been reported.
