Doy Cafeteria has been closed for years under Biden’s loose in-person work policy

Exclusive: The federal top-tier cafeteria resembles a ghost town after being empty and closed for years under the Biden administration, Fox News Digital learned.

“Federal workers are appearing to protest President Trump’s plan to let federal workers work for the people on federal holidays, but they are paid in favor of American taxpayers. “I refuse to go to work when I’m collecting it. It’s just nuts,” he told Fox News Digital that it’s close to the situation.

The Department of the Interior (DOI) cafeteria was first shut down during the coronavirus pandemic, but the lunchroom remained closed for several years as the Biden administration did not require federal employees to work directly.

Photos taken on February 20, 2025 reveal that the lunchroom will remain empty and unattended five years after the pandemic.

“President Trump keeps his promise to the American people about having a government that works hard and responsible for the people. Under the Biden administration, most people have had cafeterias closed in the Department of Home Affairs. I didn’t!” Home Secretary Doug Burgham said in a statement.

“Americans chose President Trump because they want results,” the secretary said. “Bringing the workforce back to the office will help accelerate the American sprint to energy domination.”

President Donald Trump warned in January that federal employees would either return to face-to-face work or be “dismissed” by early February, aiming to pursue Biden’s policy on remote work.

Burgum requires all federal employees to return to the office to comply with a return to the work order issued by the President.

“I understand that cafeterias will be shut down during the pandemic, but the pandemic has been over for years,” a source told Fox. “Why did the Biden administration continue to work from home when there are actual jobs that they have to do for the country?”

Fox News Digital recently discovered that Washington, DC’s Housing and Urban Development (HUD) headquarters remained relatively untouched since the first Trump administration.

The Trump administration has been wiping out the federal sector for the past month, cutting its workforce to cut spending and reduce government.

The U.S. Personnel Management provided acquisitions of more than 2 million federal private employees in January, forcing them to quit their jobs or return directly to work.

Approximately 75,000 federal employees will accept Trump’s postponed resignation program, maintain all pay and benefits, and will be exempt from in-person work until September 30th.

Fox News’ Emma Colton and Diana Stancy contributed to this report.
