Authorities in Walnut Grove, California are investigating the obvious theft of dozens of peacocks and peahens at the historic ride hotel.
After at least 15 people disappeared over the weekend, the hotel will have 40 lively peacocks home, hotel manager David Neilsen told KTLA’s sister station, FOX40.com.
“One of our guests noticed two men in a pickup truck with a cage and saw them carrying the peacock into the cage and putting it in, so we know they’re stealing it,” Nielsen said.

Nielsen said the birds are loved by staff and guests and often appear at weddings and brunches.
“Perhaps one of the reasons it was so easy to steal them was because they were so comfortable with humans,” Nielsen said. For more information, please visit fox40.com >>>
