More than 70 child sexual abuse perpetrators have been arrested or are eligible for a warrant after the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s spring cleaning business.
The operation, which took place between April 5 and 19, “focused on identifying and arresting predators who promote child sexual abuse using the internet, saving children from predators, and ensuring that registered sex offenders comply with registration requirements,” SBSD said in a news release.
Through nearly 500 compliance checks, searches for child pornography and other contraband, and undercover investigations, 73 people were arrested or warrants were issued.
