Police are asking the public for help in identifying dozens of people involved in a high-end retail robbery in Santa Monica on July 18th.
Santa Monica Police Station officials responded to reports of glass breaking at a real real vintage and consignment clothing store in the 200 block of 26th Avenue. When they arrived they found the shop’s windshield door shattered.
“As he entered, the suspect breached multiple display cases and removed a large number of high-end items before escaping the scene,” police said in a statement.
Investigators determined that more than 12 individuals were involved in retail robbery. Witnesses reported that several escape vehicles were present and all license plates had been removed.
According to executives, the business maintained a massive, non-specific loss of high-end products.
Another incident in Santa Monica happened in June when two suspects broke a glass door on Amai Coffee. Nothing was stolen, but the coffee shop suffered $1,000 damage, authorities said.
