A man was taken into custody by Los Angeles police on Monday afternoon after crashing a car through the gates of Jennifer Aniston’s Bel Air Mansion, police and property records show. Police said the homeowner was at the home during the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a call saying it had crashed at 12:20pm in the 900 block of Air Rollway. When officers arrived at the scene, security guards were holding the suspect at the muzzle. The individual lay on the ground.
The suspect was called an adult man and was taken to police custody, Im said. Information regarding booking fees was not available immediately.
According to property records, Aniston is the owner of Bel Air’s 3.4-acre lot.
The 56-year-old “Morning Show” actor bought the Midcentury Mansion in 2012 for just under $21 million, according to a report by Architectural Digest. Built in 1965, the property was designed by the prestigious architect A. Quincy Jones and renovated by architect Frederick Fisher just before Aniston bought it.
Set on more than three acres of columns, the parcels have unobstructed ocean and city views. The Times reported in 2012. When Aniston bought it, the property included a guesthouse, swimming pool and vineyards.
In 2015, Aniston married actor Justin Theroux. According to Architectural Digest, the couple lived in the property together before their divorce in 2018.
