Authorities used drones to help find vehicles that drove along the Santa Monica Mountains Monday night.
According to a spokesman for the Hills Station where LA County Sheriff’s Malibu was Lost, lawmakers responded to the first report of a traffic collision on a stunt road south of the Mulholland Expressway in Calabasas before 9:45pm

While CHP is responsible for handling crash investigations in that area, LASD responds to search and rescue operations, the spokesman said. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies deployed unmanned aviation units to assist in finding the vehicles and victims.
Videos from scenes obtained by KTLA show that the agent launched the drone as a helicopter with a spotlight surrounded by heads.

Once they were discovered, the crew managed to save two residents of the vehicle. Their conditions are unknown and it is unclear whether they were taken to the hospital, but footage showed at least one person on a stretcher.

CHP officials confirmed that only one vehicle was involved in the incident. However, they were unable to determine the cause of the crash.
