The suspected man driving while drunk was arrested after leading police in a chase that ended in a violent clash over the weekend in San Bernardino County.
The July 5 incident began around 10pm and reportedly saw officers from the Highlands Police Department run the pause signs behind the wheels of a white Audi, on 7th Avenue and San Antonio Avenue, the police department said in a social media post.
“The driver, who was extremely drunk, was pulled into a random person’s driveway and stopped for a moment,” police added.
Camera footage of the officer’s body is worn out, and male and female passengers can be seen inside the car, as officers instruct the vehicle to turn off.
However, after a while, the man retreates from the driveway and leads the police in a pursuit. The woman escapes the vehicle instantly, and the video shows, seeing the police cruiser a little further apart, and returns to the vehicle as the driver takes off again.

Aerial footage of the incident, taken by an Ontario Police Department helicopter, shows the suspect speeding east on Foothill Boulevard while driving at a red light on Campus Avenue and keeping a T-Bone by a southbound driver.
The helicopter’s night vision camera captures the exact moment of impact, with audio roaming the road towards the sidewalk.

Both vehicles cause significant damage, and police are seen cutting off the airbags to drive female passengers out of Audi.
The exact conditions for the innocent driver and female passengers of the suspect’s vehicle are not provided. Police said only that they both complained of pain.
The officer posted footage of the suspect in the examination room. The examination room was believed to have been assessed for injuries presumably before being detained.
Authorities said it was later reserved for felony avoidance and felony DUI.
