‘E! News cancelled more than 30 years later – NBC Los Angeles

The end of the E era! As the network announced, “E!News” has announced that it will end after it has aired for more than 30 years.

The network informed employees on Thursday, July 24th that the long-term pop culture news program will be setting sundown in the next two months. The first broadcast will be repeated episodes following the surprising news, but the new show will be back next week.

“E!News” will continue to air new episodes until its final taping on September 25th (E! is part of today’s parent company, NBCuniversal).

Other aired pop culture shows like “Access Hollywood” and “Access Daily” are unaffected and record new episodes.

When the cable series ends, E! Its focus will shift to the growth of digital and social media platforms. Website E! Online and shows such as “E! News’ The Rundown” on Snapchat, “Hot Goss” on Instagram, and “Re! Cap” on YouTube.

The pop culture staple has been cancelled, but Today.com has confirmed that the network will continue its red carpet coverage show “Live from E!” And it will become the home of the 31st Critics Choice Awards on January 4th, 2026.

“E! News” is currently hosted by anchors Keltin Knight and Justin Sylvester, along with Jason Kennedy, Wilmalfuggi, Francesca Amicker, Carolina Belmudes, Courtney Lopez and Emily Carl.

“E! News” began in 1991. The show made major changes in 2019 when it moved from its nightly broadcast in Los Angeles to the New York morning news program. Then, the following year, it was cancelled after 29 seasons by NBCuniversal in 2020 due to economic fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In October 2022, NBCuniversal announced that “E!News” would return with new hosts Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and Sylvester to retrieve their night slots.

“E!News” has a long history of entertainment news excellence and we look forward to regaining the show and continuing its legacy,” said Tracie Wilson, executive vice president of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, E! The news said in a statement.

Now, the “E!News” set will be shut down again after 34 years of celebrity news and gossip.
