Eight people were injured Saturday afternoon after a disgruntled customer drove his car to the showroom of an Inglewood car dealership, police said.
The crash occurred just after 2pm at Carmax, in the 8600 block of South Lasienega Boulevard. Authorities say the man had previously been involved in the conflict at the dealership.
Of the eight injured, two were taken to the trauma center where they were seriously injured. Both clients and Carmax employees have been hit, the company’s statement said.
Police said there were no deaths.
Videos of the incident posted on social media show people screaming about the showroom being turned around and screaming out of the way. The car then drives on the other side of the dealer.
The suspect fled the scene and then headed to the nearby Los Angeles Police Department Recruitment Training Center, where he pulled himself in, according to a sergeant at the Inglewood Police Department. Cesar Jurado.
“The safety of our peers, our community and our customers is our number one priority,” Carmax said in a statement, adding that the company is working with law enforcement to investigate. “We are deeply saddened by this event and our hearts come to everyone who has been shocked.”
