Elon Musk Rip to the “Completely Crazy” Trump-backed megaville – NBC Los Angeles

Elon Musk said President Donald Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” would “destroy millions of American jobs and cause major strategic harm to our country.” Previous criticism of X. Musk’s spending package sparked a public feud between the two men, despite Tesla and SpaceX CEOs being the president’s biggest financial aid. Musk’s latest comments come as the Senate is poised to vote for Megaville.

Elon Musk was torn into the Senate’s massive domestic policy package on Saturday, calling it “totally insanity” and destructive “destructive,” pointing to provisions that will raise taxes on many solar, batteries, geothermal, wind and nuclear energy projects.

Musk’s automaker Tesla produces, sells and installs both battery energy storage systems and solar solar power generation as part of its energy division.

Musk’s comments come weeks after he threw harsh criticism of the bill first supported by President Donald Trump.

“The latest Senate bill will destroy millions of jobs in America and cause great strategic harm to our country!” Musk wrote on X, the social network he owns.

“It’s very insane and destructive. It’s causing serious damage to future industries while providing handouts to past industries,” he continued.

The bill also creates new subsidies for coal used in the production of steel.

Tesla, the world’s wealthiest man, and SpaceX CEOs, are outspoken critics of Trump’s “big and beautiful bill,” partially sparking a public feud that exploded between the two men earlier this month.

Musk previously called the bill “unpleasant hatred” and urged lawmakers to “kill the bill.”

Musk’s previous comments led to a deterioration in relations with the president. This is a dramatic shift after a large-scale high-tech donated more than $250 million to Trump’s reelection campaign and led the Trump administration’s controversial government efficiency (DOGE).

Musk’s only publicly listed business, Tesla’s shares fell 14% a day after the initial criticism of the bill as the president threatened to withdraw his company’s government contracts.

However, a few days after the public feud, Musk said he regretted “some of the posts” he sent. He has expressed support for Trump’s immigration policy, and was primarily restrained in his political post on X until Saturday’s legislative debate on Republican megaville approached the vote.
