“The bars are very low,” billionaire Elon Musk said on Saturday after announcing that all federal employees must report productivity if they want to keep their jobs.
Musk, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump, said on Saturday he’ll receive an email that will give employees the opportunity to explain how productive they are last week. If an employee fails to respond to the email, Musk said the government will interpret it as a resignation.
“In line with @RealdonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will receive an email promptly requesting a request to understand what they did last week,” Musk wrote about X. It’s there. “A failure to respond will be considered a resignation.”
Later Saturday, Musk said that masks should be less than five minutes before employees write. The deadline to respond to emails is Monday at 11:59pm.

The Federal Union of U.S. Government Employees said it would plan to “challenge illegal termination of members and federal employees across the country.”
“A federal employee is forced to justify his duties against a privileged, unelected billionaire with this touch, who has never performed an hour of honest public service in his life. It is cruel and rude to be done,” the union wrote to X: .
Reports of productivity have been born as the mask-led government efficiency agency continues its efforts to reduce suspicious waste across the federal government.
