The pursuit on the 605 highway ended, leading to the arrest of the suspected assault, causing minor crashes and massive traffic backups.
Chaos originally unfolded on Wednesday mornings. According to the California Highway Patrol, the unit was called to assist Whittier Police Department officials in pursuit of the suspected attack before 10am
It was not immediately clear where the pursuit began.
But by the time CHP officials arrived, the WPD had already taken the suspect into custody on a 605 southbound span just north of Firestone Boulevard.
A video from Sky5 at about 10:30am shows officers surrounding a black SUV on the right shoulder of the highway. A nearby collision also occurred in the Martiecre, according to KTLA’s rich Prickett.

“The pursuit was ongoing, but crashed on the southbound side of the 605,” Prickett said from Sky5.
The other vehicles were seen on the shoulder of the highway that was involved in the crash, but it appeared to be minor. Prickett pointed out that he had never seen anyone take him from the ambulance scene.
Another reported break-in was reported at a high-end Los Angeles home while residents were there
A large traffic backup of the 605 was also seen shortly after the tracking was finished, as a proper three-lane blocked.
The Whittier Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for further information regarding the incident.
