Ukrainian President Voldy Mee Zelensky’s fiery White House visit was the subject of the cold opening of the latest episode of Saturday Night Live on Friday, with the sketch featuring billionaire Mike Myers as show alum and “Austin Power” Mike Myers as billionaire Elon Musk.
Cast member Mikey Day is Zelenkey, James Austin Johnson, Trump, Bowen Jan is Vance, Marcello Hernandez is Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and his sketches delve into the fun of Trump in real life.
“You say you want to end this war, but frankly, you don’t have a card,” Trump said. “I have the cards, okay. I skipped and drew four. I have the opposite. I’ve got the prison, the Supreme Court gave me it.”
Zelenskyy suggested that American leaders visit Ukraine. Vance replied, “Hey! Don’t dare. I’ve been to Ukraine… on Google Maps.”
The joke hinted at the fact that Vance had never been to Ukraine, but during real-life interactions that shocked many of the American longtime allies, he said “see, see, see the story” from the country’s war efforts.
Johnson, as Trump, criticized Zelensky for not wearing a suit, saying, “It’s rude. He showed up at the White House in a garbage-like T-shirt and jeans.”
That’s when Myers, as a mask wearing his signature “Technical Support” T-shirt and a black overcoat, entered the sketch along with the chainsaw exercised by an actual musk in the CPAC, as a way to symbolize his government’s slash.
“Donald, what are you doing in my office?” Musk’s Myers asked Johnson as Trump. “You know I’m the president now, right?”
