To celebrate the Tony Award-winning musical “Some like it Hot,” Pantage Theatre is partnering with the Art Deco Association of Los Angeles (ADSLA) to offer a unique evening soaked in the talent and architecture grandeur of the jazz era.

At 6pm on Thursday, August 7th, Adsla members and guests will have early access to the historic lobby of the Pantage Theater before the doors open to the public.

The event will include a private lobby tour, conversations with the show’s wardrobe supervisor, and the opportunity to see actual Tony Award-winning costumes from the production. Also enjoy access to the bar without hosts and plenty of time to take photos with praise and snip the venue’s gorgeous Art Decoin Terrier without the usual crowds.

The event nods both to the production’s 1920s setting and the “unique legacy of Pantage as one of Los Angeles’ final Art Deco landmarks. Participants are encouraged to wear the best jazz era fashion to complete the experience.

Tickets for the main event in the evening, “It Like It Hot” performances at 7:30pm must be purchased to participate in the pre-show activity. Bundled tickets, including both the show and Adsla experiences, are available for $95 (members) and $98 (non-members) on the Art Deco Association website in Los Angeles.

Those who purchase tickets to the theatre individually through Pantage or Ticketmaster can attend prior to the event by purchasing add-on tickets via ADSLA. Proof of purchase for the August 7th performance is required.

A four Tony Award winner, including the best choreography and best costumes, Like It Hot is a high-energy musical adaptation of classic films. Set in Chicago in the banned era, the story follows two musicians running after witnessing a mob hit.

The show will be held at the Pantage Theater from July 29th to August 17th, 2025, but the Adsla event is a one-night offer. The organizers say group seating will be at a lower level, but some pre-show tours may require stairs access. Those who need ADA seats are advised to purchase tickets directly through Pantage.

“Some people are hot” is recommended for those over 12 years old. All participants must have tickets regardless of age. Children under the age of 5 are not permitted, and minors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The production runtime is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including breaks.

Tickets for the event will be on sale soon.
