Los Angeles police responded to the homes of Encino musicians Ashley Simpson and Evan Ross on Monday, telling NBC Los Angeles.
Officers responded to the house around 3:30am, but after finding no evidence of the crime and discussing the matter with Simpson, they cleared the scene, LAPD explained.
When officers followed up hours later to check the recording of the security video camera, they saw no evidence of the attempted robbery and determined it was false report.
LAPD has dispatched additional resources to the West San Fernando Valley area with many well-known robbers.
While LAPD met with community members to discuss public safety, the bold criminals were unrelentingly unappealing. One of the homes belongs to Teddi Mellencamp, the star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”
LA District Attorney Nathan Hochman vowed to bring Encinovictim to trial as LAPD dispatched additional resources, including patrols by horse-riding officers and more aviation supervision.
