The family was arrested for retail theft after looting Upland’s Target store.
On April 16, surveillance video from the Upland Police Station captured a woman, a man and a teenager in the 1900 block of North Campus Avenue at Colony Crossroads Shopping Plaza.
Both the teenager and his mother grabbed an electric mobility cart, followed by his teenage father.

The three headed to different departments and were selling a large amount of goods from the store, including electronics, clothing and jewelry. They then left the store without paying, police said.
Employees at the store reported the theft to police, and officers arriving in the area found the suspect’s SUV nearby.
As officers approached the SUV, the vehicle was stopped in the neighborhood where the teenager ran out and began to run. He climbed up the backyard wall in an attempt to escape.
His parents were eventually handed over and detained for retail theft. The teenager was quickly arrested and arrested.
No further details including their identity were released as the incident remains under investigation.
