Police released a video of Hit and Rank-Slash on Friday in which investigators killed a pedestrian at a gas station in North Hollywood as they continue to search for the suspect.
The crash took place at Alco petrol stations on Roscoe Boulevard and Laurel Canyon Boulevard around 5:10am on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The video showed the man lying between two car parks as the dark-colored Hummer EV SUV entered the gas station. As the suspect’s car went on, it ran over the man.
Police say the driver escaped from Roscoe Boulevard from Northbound Pendleton Street without help.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Station later declared the victim dead at the scene.
Police said the suspect’s vehicle had three “cabrites” on the roof.
“Remember that if a driver is involved in a crash, he must immediately stop being safe, notify emergency services and remain on the scene to identify himself,” LAPD wrote in a release Friday.
Anyone who has witnessed or has information will be asked to contact the Valley Transportation Department at (818) 644-8119. Rewards of up to $50,000 are available, according to LAPD.
