Exclusive: FBI Director Kash Patel is “actively” working to comply with Congressional document requests ahead of schedule to track commitments to the Bureau to provide transparency to the American people, Fox News Digital learned.
On Friday, the FBI sent a letter to the House Judiciary Committee to notify the panel that it was handing over the document tranches under a subpoena from Chairman R-Ohio, Chairman Jim Jordan.
FOX News Digital has learned that the FBI shares more than 400 pages on topics the committee has long sought, dating back to the Biden administration, it relates to topics such as former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Board of Education memo and the January 6 pipe bomb investigation.
FBI compliance took place more than a week before the March 17 deadline set by Jordan.

The FBI also took over documents related to the involvement of the station and social media entities and the currently decomposed foreign impact task force.
Fox News Digital has learned that the production of the document includes “minimum editing,” and that the FBI plans to take over additional records to the House Judiciary Committee on these topics in the coming weeks.

“We are grateful for Director Patel’s work. There will be more updates soon,” Jordanian spokesman Russell Dye told Fox News Digital Monday.

Patel’s efforts have been complaining for years, after Republicans at Capitol Hill, under the leadership of FBI directors Christopher Wray and James Comey, over the years, about the FBI’s deadline for demanding documents and denial of Congressional subpoena.
The FBI is also working with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa and his team to honor the document’s request. Fox News Digital has learned that the FBI plans to follow Grassley’s requests earlier than the schedule.
The move came as an important part of Patel’s mission to restore faith and trust in the FBI through full transparency, an FBI source told Fox News Digital.

Personally, Patel has assured the FBI team that their obligation to “work proactively” with the Congressional Committee “issued” their needs.
A familiar source told Fox News Digital that Patel said “I personally want staff to be updated on obtaining Jordan and Grassley documents,” and “several times a day.”

More documents are expected to be delivered to Congress by the FBI in the coming days.
“Director Patel has restored his faith and trust in the FBI through full transparency and his involvement with Congress is an important part of his efforts,” FBI spokesman Ben Williamson told Fox News Digital. “We will continue to work with both the House and Senate committees to ensure that Americans get the FBI they deserve.”
