The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed on Saturday that it arrested more than 30 people during operations targeting multiple Home Depost stores in LA County during its June operation.
A total of 37 people were arrested by CBP agents at three different locations on June 30, according to a DHS spokesperson.
“The CBP arrested 14 illegal aliens during a procedure near Figueroa Street, 11 illegal aliens in North Hollywood, California and 12 illegal people on Sunset Boulevard.
The Home Depot location in the 5600 block of Sunset Boulevard is the subject of at least two attacks. The previous attack on June 19 led to several people being detained, including US citizens.
Councillor Hugo Soto Martinez said those detained on June 19 were primarily workers on the day they were looking for work. He said that about 20 people appear to be in custody and that his office appears to be working to provide lawyers to them.
“I’m totally furious about what’s going on,” Soto Martinez said. “These are Day workers. These are people who come here every day to find work. These are street vendors. These are people who feed our community.”
Dozens gathered outside the Home Depot in Pomona to protest the silence of the home improvement store amid ice attacks throughout SOCAL. Macy Jenkins is reporting an NBC4 News report on June 29, 2025 at 6pm.
Recent operations in the Home Depot parking lot have sparked protests, protests and backlash, urging the housing improvement giant to stand up to the attack.
“We have not been notified of ice activity that will occur, and in many cases we don’t know that it took place until the arrest is over. We must follow all federal and local rules and regulations in every market where we operate,” a spokesperson for Home Depot wrote.
