Federal authorities said on Saturday that Border Patrol agents took at least seven people during a multiple migrant raid at Van Nice’s Home Depot on Friday.
A video posted to Instagram by @valleyViewsSFV showed at least two attacks took place in the parking lot at Home Depot on Friday morning. There, masked federal agents arrested workers taking tactical equipment and took them to unmarked vehicles.
The Department of Homeland Security later told KTLA that the seven detainees were from Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras. The first attack was reported by local leaders around 7:15am, and the second was reported around 11:30am.

Late Friday morning, Los Angeles County superintendent Lindsay P. Holvas used the X to express his dislike for federal tactics in immigrant arrests.
“This morning, at Van Nuisse, some of our neighbors were forcibly taken by the ice. The ice agent showed no warrants and the car windows were not destroyed,” Horvath said. Federal authorities did not confirm or comment on the supervisor’s claims regarding property damage.
The Horvath post added, “The Trump administration is defiing court orders to stop the fears of the immigrant community. It is heartbreaking, lawless and has to be over.”
On August 4th, the class action settlement challenged federal immigrant housing arrest practices in LA was approved by a US District Court judge. This means that ICE and other federal immigration officials are not allowed to identify themselves as local police or use deceptive tactics during their home arrests in Southern California. Additionally, agents may not argue that they are conducting criminal investigations, probation or parole checks, or other public safety inquiries, unless those claims are accurate.
Disputing the claims that people are targeted based on their color, race, or ethnicity during these attacks, DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said, “The targets for immigration enforcement are when they are illegal in the United States.”

The federal government did not comment on the tactics used in Friday’s arrest, but the video shows agents wearing vests called “police” and “US Border Patrol,” along with the general use of masks and unmarked vehicles.
Friday’s attack comes just two days after federal agents performed a surgery called a “Trojan horse” in the parking lot at Home Depot in Los Angeles. There, they used Penske rental trucks to hide their presence before arresting 16 individuals.
In response to RAID on August 6, Home Depot told KTLA: “We have not been notified that ice activity will occur, and we have not been notified that we are not involved. In many cases, we do not know that an arrest will be made after the arrest is over.
The DHS indicated that Wednesday’s attack corresponded to MS-13 gang activity in the area.
“The brave men and women in America are eliminating killers, MS-13 gang members, pedophiles and rapists. It’s the worst and worst from the Golden State community,” McLaughlin said. She also said Friday that “of the four seven detainees, criminal history from multiple DUIs, arrests for disorderly conduct (prostitution), failure to appear for removal (ice fugitives), and advance removal.”
