Three people were taken to Los Angeles County hospitals with serious injuries after a fiery crash on the Angeles Forest Highway Friday morning.
The accident occurred just before 11am and involved at least two vehicles, one of which was a Maserati sports car.
First responders found the Maserati crashed on the side of the road, engulfed in flames. Firefighters extinguished the fire around 11:15 a.m. and rescued the injured.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, three people were transported from the scene, one of whom was in critical condition.

Video from Sky5 showed a charred car on the side of the road, apparently having crashed into a hillside. A second heavily damaged vehicle, a Toyota van, was on a flatbed and California Highway Patrol officials said it was driven by an innocent bystander who was traveling in the opposite direction of the Maserati. He said that it was done.

A third car, believed to be a Porsche, was parked on the side of the road not far from the accident scene.
Authorities are investigating the possibility that the Maserati and Porsche were racing on the road in the moments leading up to the violent collision.
The accident remains under investigation and the road was closed to traffic for more than an hour while crews removed debris from the scene. By 12:20 p.m., all lanes of the road had reopened to traffic, according to CHP incident records.
