San Jacinto firefighters were caught in action early Thursday morning after multiple landslides locked in several vehicles.
The incident, reported at 6:06am, left residents were stranded as mud and debris blocked the road on Soboba Road near Chabella Drive.
A Swift Water Rescue team was deployed on site and six people were safely escorted. Paramedics evaluated all six individuals on the scene and were released without serious injuries.
The landslide was caused by winter storms that cleaned Southern California overnight and brought stable rainfall throughout the region. The powerful storm also created a rare tornado in Pico Rivera, increasing the impact of bad weather.

Soboba Road remains closed between Chabela Drive and State/Gilman Springs Road as Crews work to clean up mud and retrieve chained vehicles. Authorities urge drivers to avoid the area until cleanup efforts are complete.
