The National Weather Service in Los Angeles has issued a flash flood warning for the western part of the Franklin and Palisades burn scars west of Los Flores Canyon until 11 p.m. Sunday night.

“This is a life-threatening situation,” the NWS said. “Heavy rainfall could cause widespread, severe flash flooding in burn scarred streams, streams and ditches.
