Former President Joe Biden and his administration have found themselves caught up in a series of gaffes and controversies around the Easter Holiday, including the Easter Bunny suddenly slurping the 46th president from a 2022 gathering of reporters.
Presidents Donald and Melania Trump joined families and children on the Southern Lawn of the White House Monday morning for the 147th annual event dating back to President Rutherford B. Hayes in 1878.
As Easter Egg Roll tradition continues this year, Fox News Digital has looked back at a handful of Easter controversies involving Biden and his administration during his term.
Easter Bunny Drifting Biden with Eggroll
During the 2022 Easter Egg Roll, a person in a bunny suit was seen approaching Biden, speaking candidly to media members about Afghanistan and Pakistan. Bunny stepped in while talking to the media in front of Biden, waving with great animation before moving Biden away from reporters.
“Pakistan shouldn’t. Afghanistan…” he said he was saying before Bunny approached.
“Ah, Easter Bunny!” You can say someone is saying off-camera from the camera, as Biden looked visibly caught off guard by the interruption.

The Bunny incident precedes the intense scrutiny faced by Democrats and conservatives over mental vision and age towards the 2024 election.
The Easter Bunny footage has been rehashed from footage of the Easter Bunny overseeing Beden as the president is concerned last summer about whether he has the potential to continue running for reelection and stay in an oval office. Biden eventually dropped out and approved then-President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. Harris ultimately couldn’t garner enough support to beat Trump in the polls.
Biden administration is transday of sacred Christian holiday visibility

The Biden administration landed in hot water along with religiously loyal conservatives during the 2024 Easter season, celebrating Easter Sunday’s “Transgender Vision Day.”
“On Transgender Day of Vision, we respect the extraordinary courage and contribution of transgender Americans and reaffirm our nation’s commitment to form a more complete union, where all people are created equally and treated equally throughout their lives.”
“Today, we send a message to all transgender Americans. You are loved. You are heard. You are understood. You belong. You are America, and my entire administration has your back.”
3 Months and 28th: White House faces backlash over Easter announcement, clogging LGBTQ event calendar
International Transgender Vision Day was created by activists over a decade ago and is celebrated annually on March 31, while Easter (the most holy holiday for Christians) travels annually on Sundays, but is always observed.
House speaker Mike Johnson (conservatives including R-La.) tore the White House’s decision to recognize Easter vision trans days, calling it an attack on Christianity.
“The Biden White House betrayed the central doctrine of Easter. This is the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” Johnson wrote to X last March. “It’s outrageously abomination to declare Easter Sunday as ‘trans Day’ while banning sacred truths and traditions. Americans are paying attention.”
Former White House spokesman Andrew Bates defended Biden as a Christian when he worked to “connect people” with the event.
“As a Christian celebrating Easter with his family, President Biden represents bringing people together and supporting the dignity and freedom of all Americans,” Bates told Fox Digital last year.
Biden appears to be introducing the “Oyster” Bunny

Criticism is Mount of Biden’s “shadow” after a tragic debate: “Not the same man” era
“God bless you and enjoy the day. I’ll do that Easter egg roll again in a minute,” Biden said as he stood on the Truman balcony in the White House and looked down at the south grass.

“Thank you to everyone, and by the way, say “Hello” to the Oyster Bunny.
As some users each wanted a “happy oyster,” the apparent gaffe drew an ocky online. It sparked concern over mental vision over the president’s mispronunciation.
Biden White House Press Secretary delivers Flat April Fool’s Day pranks alongside Easter Bunny
Former White House press secretary Carine Jean Pierre delivered April Fool’s Day flat fools when the White House held Easter Egg Roll in 2024.
The person who dressed the Easter Bunny was spotted in the press conference room on April 1, 2024, and Jean Pierre joined the media and joked that Biden was set up to cancel the hatch act.
The Hatch Act prohibits secretariat staff from engaged in certain forms of political activity, except for the President and Vice President.
“Happy Easter Monday. So I think you’re really interested in this because I have something on the top for you guys. So President Biden is going to announce that he’s cancelling the hatch act,” Jean Pierre laughed, joking about April Fools. “So, as a gift for you, now we can actually ask all the questions about 2024.”
“No? I thought you loved it,” she replied as the journalist became weak. “It’s okay. OK. April Fools, April Fools, April Fools – That’s April 1st.”
Dem left an egg in his face as DNC appears to snub Biden on Easter
The administration’s hatch act joke followed repeated cases of administrative authorities citing the law, avoiding questions about Biden’s 2024 campaign.
This year, the Democratic National Committee shared an Easter message celebrating the Democratic president throughout the year, but did not include a picture of Biden in particular. Instead, the post featured former presidents Jimmy Carter, John F. Kennedy, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
