A former Riverside County corrections officer was arrested after he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a juvenile inmate.
The suspect was identified as Cecilia Purido, 42, of Moreno Valley, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Pulido is accused of having sexual contact and an inappropriate relationship with a male boy who was in custody. She was employed as a corrections officer with the Riverside County Probation Department for the alleged incident.
On January 24, she was arrested and faced several charges, including harassing and abusing a child and having sexual contact with a prisoner or prisoner.
“Pulido was hired by the Riverside County Probation Department as a probation officer in December 2023 but resigned before these allegations were disclosed,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. .
No further details were released as the case is under investigation.
