First Fox: Bill Verrien, a Wisconsin manufacturing executive, former Navy seal and self-proclaimed political outsider, announced the Wisconsin governor’s Republican campaign on Wednesday.
“We told Fox News Digital in the first national exclusive interview with the Republicans since announcing his governor’s bid. [have] To escape the six years of Tony Evers, where we go in the exact opposite direction. This race is a very win. You can win. I can become the conservative governor that will make this a Wisconsin century. ”
Verien said Democrat Tony Evers’ tenure felt like the “reverse gear” of all the benefits former GOP Gov. Scott Walker made. Republican hopefuls called Evers a “tax and spending” Democrat.
“I’m an outsider. I’m a businessman just like President Trump,” Verien said. “He’s getting Washington back. We need to get Madison back for the Wisconsinians.”

Berrien is CEO of manufacturer Pindel Global Precision and Liberty Precision, and served as a Navy Seal for nine years. His top priorities in the race are energizing Wisconsin production, restoring law and order, and strengthening Wisconsin families, according to his campaign website.

“Wisconsin is the best in the country,” Verien said. “We make things, we make things, we work together by hand. My vision is that we can once again become a manufacturing powerhouse in the world. We can become zero for the success of Trump-led reindustrialization.”
President Donald Trump campaigned to unleash American manufacturing as president and bring business back to the United States through often controversial trade and tariff policies.
Trump’s victory on the Wisconsin battlefield landed him in 2024. Verien called his victory “historic” and said it reflected “a board-wide shift” among Wisconsin voters.
“It’s the Republican Workers Party. It’s due to his leadership. I think we’re going to build on that through this campaign,” Verien said.

Trump secured Wisconsin in 2024, but Susan Crawford, a liberal Democratic-backed Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate, won a multi-million-dollar election earlier this year over conservative Brad Simmell.
When Elon Musk was still in Trump’s bounty, he invested millions to support Shimmel, but Democrats across the country cast political weight behind Crawford, and were eventually elected to the open seat.
“That further means we need to have Republicans in the governor’s mansion,” Verien said, “How do you apply the military leadership-type mindset to all 72 counties, win tickets up and down, and how do you apply them?”
And when asked about early mid-mid-messaging in 2026 in early 2026, about Medicaid reductions in the Big Beautiful Bill Act, Berrien supported Medicaid labor requirements and called Trump’s megaville “wind on the sails to create the Wisconsin century, a great powerhouse that will make Wisconsin again into the world.”

“If you look at the business incentives of factory construction, investment in technology, investment in people, it’s like Black Friday sales and factory expansions, and you don’t need coupons.”
Verien announced his candidacy in a campaign video released Wednesday morning. Washington County executive Josh Scheman announced his own Republican governor’s campaign in May.

Evers has yet to announce whether they will seek re-election in 2026. He did not respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital.
“Given the past decade, there have only been two successful candidates across the state. [Sen.] Ron Johnson and Donald Trump. We are my team, the leaders who have participated in both of these races and we have a team to win this. We have resources, clear lanes and opportunities. Let’s make this the Wisconsin century,” Verien said.
