Former presidential candidate Marianne Williamson has announced her candidacy to become the next Democratic National Committee (DNC) chair.
In a letter to DNC members posted on her site, Transforming with Marianne Williamson, she vowed to seek to “reinvent the party” as chair.
He also warned that President-elect Trump’s political achievements should not be underestimated.
“President Trump ushered in an era of political theater, a collective adrenaline rush that not only moved large groups of people into his camp, but also drove large groups of people away from ours. “You can’t underestimate the historic nature of what he accomplished,” Williamson said.

“In fact, it’s important to recognize the psychological and emotional dimensions of Trump’s appeal. We need to understand that in order to generate the energy to counter it. MAGA is clearly a 21st century political movement. Data analysis, fundraising, on-the-ground organizing, and enhanced technology are all important, but in preparing the path to Democratic victory in 2024 and beyond. “It’s not enough,” she argued.

Others have announced candidacies for the DNC chairman role, including former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who recently served as head of the Social Security Administration.
