A man who ran for the Ventura County Sheriff endures a trial where he allegedly attempts to register four cats for the ballot.
Chatsworth resident Bruce Boyer has been accused of trying to register four cats to vote ahead of the 2024 election. He pleaded not guilty to these charges earlier this year.
As the Ventura County Star detailed, Boyer is said to have tried to register cool T. Cat, Estrea D. Tigray, Fritz T. Cat and Sylvester T. Cat as voters.
“The addresses listed on each were the same addresses Boyer was listed on the candidate form with the county,” reported Starr.
The Los Angeles Times, who has run for the position of legislative and county clerkship, and has reportedly been a critic of the voices of California’s election process.
In the past, he claims that the accusations are politically motivated and that someone else is trying to register those felines to frame him.
“We can conclude that the only way to actually reveal it is to put rubber on the road, as saying you can register a cartoon cat is very different to saying it’s sacred. Here’s the voter registration for a cartoon cat.”
