Former UCLA and Minnesota Viking punter Chris Kruwe said today he was unhappy with how Democratic leaders responded to President Donald Trump’s second administration, and the Huntington Beach City Council meeting I decided to be arrested for this.

Kruwe said he was behind the bar for about four hours.
“A lot of that was paperwork,” he said. “The Huntington Beach Police Department is very professional and polite. I have no complaints about how I was treated.”
As part of the 50th anniversary of the city library, the city council has approved the addition of “magic charming galvanized” or maga to the plaques that are hanging from the library. It also includes “We through hope and change.”

“I’ve been a resident here for about 15 years,” Kruwe said. “The Huntington Beach Library is widely regarded as one of Huntington Beach’s finest in the surrounding area. The library is a civic treasure.”
Kluwe said he opposed the plaque phrase because “the library is neutral ground.”
Kluwe said most of the crowd attending the Library Committee meeting last week were against the language of plaque.
“Maga is a Nazi movement, as it is based now, and there is no other way to see it,” Kruwe said. “We can’t debate whether anyone exists or not. That’s what the Nazis did and we saw what happened.”
Kluwe spoke about her efforts to remove references to transgender people in federal documents.
“The White House issued an order that there are no trans people and no more Nazis can be obtained,” Kruwe said. “It’s part of the effort to take power out. They want to have the power to tell everyone what to do. It’s fundamentally a non-American ideal. We have a king or a tyrant now. plug. .
The council cleaned up the room for a break when Kluwe was arrested and did not address his comments when it resumed. The plaque was unanimously approved and Kluwe will be paid in court on the April 16 misdemeanor charge.
