The FBI is still looking for four men who allegedly stole more than $200,000 in EBT (electronic benefit transfer) funds from more than 300 victims.

The FBI says each of the four men was last seen in Southern California, but it says where and when they are unknown in SoCal.

Federal authorities detailed the group’s methods for setting up skimmers at the sales point terminal on each of the wanted pages.

“[The four men] They are being called for their suspect role in schemes that fraudulent recipients of federal benefits programs by installing skimming devices at various sales terminals in California to illegally access victims’ EBT card funds. Subjects are said to have created and installed skimming devices that are often small in size and have the ability to record, store, or send data.

Some of these devices can be installed inside standalone point of sale terminals (such as gas station pumps or ATMs) from a customer’s perspective, and are designed to intercept data from swiped access devices. A very small camera was also attached to the point sales terminal, recording customers entering pin numbers. Information collected or transmitted from a skimming device may be used alone or in conjunction with another access device, with the responsibility of or withdrawal of fees from the victim’s account without the consent, knowledge or permission of the victim. ”

Kingpin, a former Olympian drug lord, has been named on the FBI’s 10 most wanted list

Federal officials say all men are being asked to exacerbate bank fraud and identity theft. Each of those federal warrants was issued on April 19, 2023.
