Four suspects remain large after Culver City’s armed and violent robbery.
On March 15, Culver City police responded to a robbery at 8:50pm in a parking lot in the 12,000 block of Washington Boulevard.
The male victim was selling camera equipment online when he agreed to meet with a suspect who pretended to be a potential buyer.
At the meeting, one suspect spoke about camera equipment, while two other male suspects also approached.
Soon the black car was drawn into the parking lot. That’s when the suspect punched the victim in his face and hit him on the ground. He grabbed the camera equipment and the second suspect hugged the victim to the ground by his neck. Both suspects stepped into the escape car and fled the scene.
The victim tried to stop the car by grabbing the door. He was dragged several feet before the vehicle stopped, and the suspect pointed his gun at him and ordered him to leave.
The vehicle escaped from the scene and headed east of Washington Boulevard. The robber escaped with a Sony Alpha 7 S3 camera worth around $3,200 and a Sony FE 28-70 mm 2.8 lens worth around $2,300, police said.
Surveillance images of the robbery were not available, but police described the suspect as follows:
Black man, 5 feet 10 inches, black man with a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants, black men with heavy build, black men wearing black sweatshirts with black hooded sweatshirts and armed with semi-automatic handguns, 5 feet 10 inches, black hooded sweatshirts and black pants.
Their car is a black four-door sedan.
