EXCLUSIVE: Baltimore ICE Removal Operations officials arrested eight immigrants Thursday in suburban Maryland, including four convicted child sex abusers and a murderer.
The arrest occurred during an exclusive interview with a government agency on Fox News.
One of the arrested immigrants was found guilty of sexually abusing a minor and exposing herself in public several times. Another immigrant from the Philippines was previously convicted of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.
One immigrant convicted of murder was living in the U.S. on a permanent resident visa, according to ICE.

“We’re supporting the worst of the worst,” Matthew Elliston, head of the Baltimore field office, told Fox News’ David Spant. “It’s not just ordinary people who are in the country illegally. If we’re targeting you, there’s a reason.”
The goal of the Baltimore ICE Field Office is simple. Arrest and deport as many illegal immigrants with criminal records as possible. ICE agents’ goal earlier in the day was to capture eight targets, and all eight targets are currently in custody.
All eight of these immigrants are currently in jail awaiting trial before an immigration judge and possible deportation.

According to ICE data obtained by the House Homeland Security Committee in September, there are at least 650,000 criminally illegal immigrants in the agency’s “non-custodial records,” meaning they are free in the interior of the United States. means. Although not officially a sanctuary state, Maryland, led by Democratic Gov. Wes Moore and with a Democratic majority in the state legislature, is considered immigrant-friendly. According to ICE data, Baltimore ERO arrested 570 immigrants with convictions or criminal charges in fiscal year 2024.
