The White House views the Signal Group chat leak incident as “closed,” Trump Administration Press Office’s Caroline Lewitt told media on Monday.
“The president made it so clear that Mike Waltz continues to be an important part of his national security team,” Leavitt told the media in a simple statement Monday afternoon while playing a gag outside the White House press room. “And this incident is now closed here at the White House as far as we are concerned.”
“There were steps to ensure that something like that clearly wouldn’t happen again,” she continued. “And we are moving forward, and the President, Mike Waltz and his entire national security team have worked together very well.
