Fox Sports will fire Charlie Dixon after sexual battery lawsuit, his lawyer says

FS1 Content executive producer Charlie Dixon is now accused of sexual assault in two lawsuits by a former employee and sexual assault in one of the lawsuits, and is no longer a FOX Sports.

Dixon’s lawyer said in a statement emailed to The Times late Monday night that his client was told “he has been let go to violate the company’s policies” on matters that had nothing to do with the lawsuit filed in January.

“Dixon has not disclosed to the Human Resources or Law Department that a third-party production company hired his wife as a temporary freelancer,” wrote John Ly, the lawyer representing Dixon in separate civil lawsuits filed this year by former network anchors and reporters Julie Stewart Binks and Hare Farage.

“But the reality is that Mr. Dixon asked the supervisor about employment and was told there was no objection.”

Ly added: “It is worth noting that a Fox spokesman did not mention the company’s investigation into sexual harassment claims when announcing Dixon’s departure. Dixon has cooperated fully with the investigation and denied any involvement in inappropriate conduct.”

Ly did not immediately respond to further questions from The Times.

Fox Sports, emailed Tuesday morning, only confirmed that Dixon had not been employed by the company for a long time.

“Charlie Dixon is no longer a FOX sports,” the network said. “There are no further comments at this time.”

In her lawsuit filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Jan. 31, Stewart Binks accused Dixon of having her hold her against the wall, and after a 2016 work-related meeting, he threw his body against her “strongly” and “pushing his tongue into his mouth.”

Shortly after the incident, the lawsuit states that Stewart Binks’s contract with Fox was not renewed. The lawsuit alleges sexual assault and sexual assault as the cause of actions against all defendants, including Dixon, FoxSports and its parent company, Fox Inc.

Asked about the lawsuit and its allegations in January, Fox Sports said, “These allegations are over eight years old. At the time, we immediately hired a third-party company to investigate and address the issue based on their findings.”

Dixon was also one of the defendants in the Faraj case filed in LA County Superior Court in early January. Among them, he is accused of “scrubbing her body and grabbing her ass” without Farazi’s permission at another Fox Sports employee’s birthday party. The lawsuit alleges sexual batteries and hostile work environments as factors behind the actions against Dixon.
