Free concerts and outdoor movie nights will return to OC Park all summer long

OC Parks is reviving two of Orange County’s most beloved summer traditions. The annual summer concert series and the Sunset Cinema film screening. Running from June 6th to August 29th, the series includes nine Thursday night concerts and 12 Friday night movies at regional parks throughout the county, all with free parking.

The outdoor event announced by the counties of Orange Parks and OC Parks is designed to provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment in the region’s most scenic public spaces. Guests can expect live music, recent classic films and theme pre-show entertainment. Food trucks and beer and wine gardens are available at all events.

Summer concerts will be held on Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm, with music starting at 6pm

The 2025 OC Parks Summer Concert Series lineup includes:

June 19th – Ozomatri at Mile Square Regional Park

June 26th – doin’time at Mile Square Regional Park (Subtly Praise)

July 10th – Flashback Heart Attack at Mason Regional Park (hit in the 80s)

July 17th – Maria Chidiva at Craig Regional Park

July 24th – Pistol Blonde (female country cover band) at Craig Regional Park

July 31 – A dream like Taylor (Taylor Swift Tribute) at Irvine Regional Park

August 7th – Early years at Elton Irvine Regional Park

August 14th – no duh: Undoubtedly the ultimate homage at Bluff Park in Salt Creek Beach

August 21 – Boyband reviews at Bluff Park in Salt Creek Beach Returns with new rides, $5 meals and entertainment for all ages

The OC Parks Sunset Cinema Film Series will be held on Friday nights at 6pm and will begin at the sunset.

The 2025 film lineup includes:

June 6th – Despicable ME 4 at Carbon Canyon Regional Park (2024)

June 13th – Charlie’s Angels (2000) at Carbon Canyon Regional Park

June 20th – Inside Out 2 (2024) Craig Regional Park

June 27th – Hercules at Craig Regional Park (1997)

July 11th – Mufasa: The Lion King at Mason Regional Park (2024)

July 18th – Beat Re juice Beat Re juice at Yoruba Regional Park (2024)

July 25th – Miss Congeniality at Yoruba Regional Park (2000)

August 1st – Twisters at Laguna Niguel Regional Park (2024)

August 8th – The Greatest Showman at Laguna Niguel Regional Park (2017)

August 15th – Elemental at Irvine Regional Park (2023)

August 22nd – Shrek (2001) Irvine Regional Park

August 29th – Moana 2 (2024) at Bluff Park in Salt Creek Beach

In a statement, Orange County Board of Supervisors Chairman Doug Chaffey praised summer programming as a meaningful way to bring the community together. “The OC Parks Summer Concert Series and Sunset Cinema Film Series provide an incredible opportunity to experience free live music and films in the beautiful setting of Orange County Regional Parks, bringing people together to create special memories that last and last,” he said.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early, bring blankets and chairs, and enjoy pre-show entertainment such as DJ-driven games and character encounters and gifts.

All movies are displayed in English and translation services are available upon request at concert events. The event is open to all ages.

Part of OC Community Resources, OC Parks manages approximately 60,000 acres of parks, open spaces, and historic and coastal sites throughout Orange County.
