Visitors to West Hollywood can enjoy free parking every Wednesday night during April as the city tries to attract more customers to businesses.
Under the “Wehappy Wednesday” initiative, parking meters and city-owned parking will offer free parking every Wednesday from 4pm until midnight.
Normally, parking meters cost $2 an hour along Sunset Boulevard until 2am, but drivers will need to supply meters until midnight at Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue.
Restaurants and bars will also be offering food and drink deals and discounts while continuing initiatives by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. A list of Wehappy transactions can be found here.
“The initiative removes common barriers to visiting local facilities, encouraging the community to rediscover their favourite spots and explore everything. All of these, while directly supporting local businesses, said in a statement, adding that many businesses in the area are still working on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the wildfires of January.
“We are pleased to announce that we are committed to providing a range of services and services to ensure that we are committed to providing a range of services,” said Genevieve Morrill, president and CEO of WHCC. “Whether you’re having dinner with friends, shopping at a local boutique, catching a show, I want it to be as easy as possible to support the business that shapes West Hollywood.”
