National Intelligence Director Tarsi Gabbard was in the situation room on Saturday when the US military launched a successful strike at Iran’s nuclear facility.
White House officials confirmed that Gabbard was in the room on Saturday and that she was a “key player” for President Donald Trump’s national security team.
When the president testified in March that he was “wrong” about Iran’s intelligence news and that she hadn’t actively constructed nuclear weapons before the Senate, he speculated that there was a rift between Gabbard and Trump after the president said that media Gabbard was “wrong” about Iran’s intelligence news.
Photos from the situation room, released Saturday evening, did not show Gabbard, who is present with Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of Defense, Deputy Chief Pete Hegses and other administrative officers. However, the photos do not include a wide range of shots in which the entire room or each individual exists, and the White House confirmed that the Intelligence Chief is present.
Trump and Gabbard appeared in conflict when they reported in early June that when the president was asked about Gabbard’s testimony before the Senate in March that Iran had shown that he was not actively building nuclear weapons. Trump told media on June 16 that he “doesn’t mind” what Gabbard had to say in his previous testimony, claiming he believes Iran is close to building a nuclear weapon.

“You’ve always said you don’t think Iran should have nuclear weapons,” the reporter asked Trump on June 16 while in the Air Force.
“It’s very close,” Trump replied.
Then again on Friday, Trump said Gabbard was “wrong” after she reported that Iran was not actively building nuclear weapons.
“My intelligence news community is wrong,” Trump said when asked about an intelligence community that previously reported that Iran is not actively building nuclear weapons.

When Gabbard appeared before the Senate Intelligence Election Committee in March, she issued a statement on behalf of the Intelligence Election Election community, which included testimony that Iran was not actively building nuclear weapons.
“Iran’s cyber operations and capabilities also pose serious threats to U.S. networks and data,” Gabbard told the committee on March 26.

The intelligence news community “continues to assess Iran as not building nuclear weapons, and Supreme Leader Khamenei has not approved the nuclear weapons programme that was stopped in 2003,” she said. She added, “Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile is at its highest level and is unprecedented for a state without nuclear weapons.”
“Iran will continue its efforts to counter Israel, to help the US withdrawal, and to support its withdrawal from the region, to reconstruct a loose consortium of armed and like-minded terrorist actors.

However, when critics separated Gabbard’s past comments, the White House emphasized to Fox Digital that Gabbard and Trump lined up closely with Iran.
White House officials told Fox News Digital on Tuesday afternoon that Trump and Gabbard were in close alignment and that the distinction between Gabbard’s march testimony and Trump’s statement that Iran was “very close” to getting nuclear weapons.

Officials said Gabbard highlighted in his March testimony that Iran has the resources to potentially construct nuclear weapons. Her marching testimony reflected the intelligence she received that Iran had not built any weapons at the time, but that the state could do so based on the resources it had accumulated for such efforts.

Gabbard joined social media and denounced the media for “deliberately” taking the media to the Senate Intelligence Election Committee “from context” to the Senate Intelligence Election Committee.
“The fraudulent media intentionally discontinues my testimony from context and spreads it as a way to produce fake news,” Gabbard said in X’s Friday post, accompanied by a video clip of his March testimony to Congress.
“The US has the intelligence that Iran is in that if they decide to complete Congress, they can produce nuclear weapons within weeks or months,” she wrote. “President Trump is clear that it won’t happen and I agree.”

“Some time ago, the US military carried out a massive precision strike at three important nuclear facilities in the Iranian regime: Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan,” Trump said from the White House on Saturday evening. “Everyone has heard their names for years because they built this horribly destructive company. Our aim was to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment capabilities and to stop the nuclear threat posed by the world’s number one terrorist sponsor.

“For 40 years, Iran has been saying, “Death to America. Death to Israel.” They killed our people, blew our arms away, and blew our legs out with roadside bombs,” Trump continued. “It was their specialty. We lost over 1,000 people, especially hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East and around the world, especially as a direct result of their hatred.”
Fox News Digital contacted the Director of National Intelligence’s office for additional comments on Sunday’s strike but did not receive a reply immediately.
